Documentary
Network
We are a non-profit organisation founded by a group of documentary enthusiasts.
Best known for our 'Doc in a day' 36-hour filmmaking competitions which have attracted over 500 participants, and helped facilitate the creation of over 120 short documentary films.
London Documentary Network also organises other social meetings, screenings and events aimed at connecting, educating and supporting the documentary community in London.
Its origins
The London Documentary Network (LDN) evolved from a small coffee meet-up group, into an official Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2016, running bigger and more sophisticated events. The founders were:
Paul Hulligan, Alex Wilding, Maria Evrenos, Andrea Mattioli, and Keziah Mastin (also special mention to Josh Ho for his help)
The mission has always been to help the documentary community connect and create.
Many other amazing volunteers have helped run LDN events along the way, bringing the organisation to life (shout-out to Joe Lee for being a big presence).
LDN is still going strong! But no longer classed as an official CIC. This might change back if funding is sought (currently unfunded, doing it for the love ❤️).
